The concrete slab was reported to be leaking on the roof slab floor, despite the presence and the use of Bituminous Felt Membrane protection. The leakages were most evident in the penthouse floor where the Board Room and Top Management of the Bank offices are located.
The Concrete Logistics team were contacted to provide permanent waterproofing solution for the roof slab. The solution provided by the team include removal of existing tiles and the damaged felt membrane, specialized surface preparations and surface treatment using Krystol T1/T2 waterproofing systems. Also the entire joints between the internal walls and floors were fixed using Krystol crack/joint repair systems to render these areas watertight, while pipe penetration points were treated using the dedicated Krystol Pipe Penetration System. This treatment is guaranteed to last the entire life of the concrete, which means no other forms of waterproofing (including bituminous felt) is required throughout the life of the concrete slab.
