BACKGROUND
Upon assessment, the swimming pool deck had several leakages caused by cracks, compromised joints, and failure of the existing felt membrane. These cracked joints are lowering water from the pool to penetrate below the tiles in the pool terrace slab. There were also loose edges around light fixture allowing water penetration. The shower area had pipes that were clogged and blocked, causing the water from showers to soak up the tiles and penetrated underneath, soaking the concrete. These affected areas required concrete restoration, repairs and waterproofing to ensure water tightness.

SOLUTION
The team's solution includes but not limited to removal of existing mosaic tiles, deteriorated screed and felt membrane from the two swimming pool shell. Then cleaning and surface preparation of the concrete surface of the base slab to carry apply Krystol T1. the cold joints within the pool edges were repaired using the Krystol Crack/Joint System. All damaged water pipes replaced, followed by specializes pipe penetration treatment using Krystol Plug and Repair Grout system. Re-screeding of treated drainage with KMA for enhanced water resistance. The project was concluded by the installation of new mosaic tiles for the pool with detailed attention to grout lines and joints.
